A plant will have many canes depending on its age. A cane is an individual
stem of a blueberry bush. A new, young cane is also referred to as a whip. The new canes or whips are ideal for propagating new plants from hardwood or

from last year's growth and could be taken as hardwood cuttings in mid-March in
